Current Initiatives

Post retirement, Rich has founded and is the Executive Director of Hudson Valley Property Owners Association. Started in Kingston NY, has expanded to nine counties within the Hudson valley- Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Sullivan, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, Putnam & Westchester Counties. The goal is to expand affordable housing by loosening regulation on rent controls, zoning and environmental review of residential projects. In the meantime, Rich has been spearheading efforts to stop the spread of rent control, which is the direct opposite of what is needed to increase the supply of housing and lower housing costs.
